Spanish concert series offers music festivals for all music tastes

“Marenostrum Fuengirola, held annually in Costa del Sol, is one of the largest outdoor concert series in Spain, if not Europe.”

Organised by Fuengirola town hall and held between June and September in the Sohail Castle, it presents a wide genre of music including classical, rock, flamenco, rap, indie and pop music.

The 2024 edition is offering concerts from mid May to Mid August. The more intimate concerts will take place inside the Castle, while the larger ones will be held at the Castle’s hillside gardens.

Marenostrum , which began in 2016, usually attracts some of the most celebrated international stars - Sting, Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, Ricky Martín, and Jennifer Lopez have all performed there.

The four-month cultural extravaganza also incorporates several popular festivals, like the Sohail Jazz, the Festival of Cabaret, and the Luna Sur Festival.

Marenostrum is committed to sustainability and environmental conservation, being an eco-friendly enclosure free of plastic. The venue also offers accessibility for people with mobility restrictions.
